The government has withdrawn its decision to send 50 lower court judges to the National Judicial Academy and State Judicial Academy in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh for training.

Dr. Abul Hasnat, deputy secretary of the Law and Justice Division, signed the gazette notification regarding the cancellation on Sunday (5 January).

An earlier notification had permitted the participation of trainee judges, including District and Sessions Judges or equivalent officers, Additional District and Sessions Judges, Joint District Judges, Senior Assistant Judges, and Assistant Judges, in training sessions scheduled to be held in India from 10 to 20 February.

The Law Ministry's decision was based on recommendations made by the Supreme Court. The new notification states that the previously issued gazette approving the training programme has now been rescinded following fresh recommendations from the Supreme Court.
