Bangladesh experienced another earthquake just four days after the previous tremor, as the ground shook once again at 7:05am on Tuesday (7 January). The initial reports indicate no immediate damage.

Volcano Discovery reported that the earthquake was felt in several countries, including Nepal, India, Bhutan, and China.

At least 53 people had been killed on the Tibetan side, national television broadcaster CCTV reported.

The earthquake's epicentre was located 93 kilometres northwest of Lebućhi, Nepal, with a magnitude of 7.1 on the Richter scale and a depth of 10 kilometres.

It caused significant tremors across several neighbouring countries, including Nepal, India, Bhutan and China.

Epicentre of the seismic activity was located 23 kilometres from Shigatse, a region in Tibet, China.

The earthquake has led to widespread panic and concern among the affected populations.

Earlier, on 3 January, an earthquake was felt in various parts of Bangladesh, including the capital, Dhaka, and Sylhet.

This recent seismic activity underscores the region's vulnerability to earthquakes, highlighting the need for preparedness and swift response measures.
