A six-member delegation representing three BNP associate bodies—Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal—delivered a memorandum to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Sunday, protesting the alleged attack on Bangladesh's Assistant High Commission in Agartala, desecration of the national flag, and purported attempts to incite communal unrest.

The delegation, which included Jubo Dal President Monayem Munna and General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan, Swechchhasebak Dal President SM Jilani and General Secretary Rajib Ahsan, and Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, submitted the memorandum to an Indian High Commission official in Baridhara.

Earlier in the day, a protest march began at 11:30 am in front of the BNP central office in Naya Paltan. The march, initially scheduled to proceed to the Indian High Commission, was intercepted by law enforcement near Rampura at approximately 12:35 pm.

Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the BNP’s senior joint secretary general, attended the demonstration as the chief guest. Despite the interception, the protestors managed to deliver their memorandum to the High Commission as planned.

The protest was announced in a press release on Saturday, signed by Jubo Dal Office Secretary Nurul Islam Sohel. The press release outlined plans for a joint initiative by the three BNP-backed organizations to voice their concerns. The memorandum submission and march were part of the BNP's broader efforts to highlight grievances against India and its alleged interference in Bangladesh’s internal affairs.

The protest reflects ongoing tensions and allegations surrounding recent incidents involving Bangladesh’s Assistant High Commission in Agartala and concerns over regional stability.
