BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed today said that neighboring India is conspiring to reinstate the ousted looter and fascist  former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh.

"When all countries and states are expressing solidarity with the martyrs and injured in the student uprising to overthrow Sheikh Hasina and a new possibility for establishing democracy is created, a neighboring country is hesitating to do so and feeling embarrassed," he said.

India is creating a false narrative that minorities in Bangladesh are being oppressed to cover up the fact that Sheikh Hasina is a thief and money launderer and her associates have looted and pushed the entire country into the depths of corruption.

“They (India) are not telling the truth about Sheikh Hasina’s deeds, but are trying to re-establish her. As a result, patriots like fire-fighter Swanur Zaman Nayan are laying down their lives while extinguishing fire to save the country,” Rizvi said.

He made the remarks while interacting with reporters after meeting with relatives at the house of fire-fighter Swanur Zaman Nayan, who died while extinguishing a fire at the secretariat, in Atpunia village of Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur.

Organizing secretary of BNP Central Executive Committee (Rangpur division) Principal Asadul Habib Dulu also addressed the occasion.

Rizvi with senior BNP leaders rushed to the village on the instruction of BNP Vice-chairman Tarique Rahman to express grief and convey condolence on his behalf to the family members of Nayan.

Rizvi with BNP leaders also offered Fateha and dua at the grave of Nayan and sought divine blessings for his departed soul.

Rizvi said the Bangladesh secretariat was set on fire to destroy important files of money laundering and corruption. Therefore, the secretariat fire is not an isolated incident and this fire is part of a deep conspiracy.

“There are still many accomplices of the defeated fascist dictatorship in the country. They are still in some important positions like bureaucracy, police and other places. But, not everyone has changed,” he said.

Rizvi said, the martyrdom of Rangpur’s son Abu Sayed ascertained the fall of fascist Sheikh Hasina regime in the movement of bringing back democracy in what we call as the second liberation war.

“In this second war of liberation, yet another son of Rangpur Nayan embraced martyrdom by giving away his life to keep the country safe, peaceful and stable and save independence and sovereignty,” he said.

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, "As Asadul Habib Dulu has already said here, the fire in the secretariat is part of a deep conspiracy; it is undoubtedly part of the conspiracy."

He said, “A former cabinet secretary of the ousted Sheikh Hasina regime laundered a lot of money. His money laundering files were among the files of five ministries that were burned. Many important documents were burned.”

He said, “One case of money laundering of Sheikh Hasina and his son Sajeeb Wazed Joy has come to light. They have laundered 350 billion US dollars to the USA. The topmost intelligence agency of the USA is investigating the case.”

“There are many more such cases. To cover up these incidents, the nine-storey building of the secretariat was set on fire to burn important documents of five important ministries so that those cases of corruption could not come into light,” Rizvi said.

He said, “Therefore, there are many works in front of us. If we can give democracy a permanent shape and can save our independence and sovereignty, only then will the civic rights and independence be established.”

Rizvi said, “Nayan has set up a glaring example of conducting professional duty. Only condolence from the interim government is not enough. We demand that the interim government should take proper steps to save the family of Nayan.”

He said the Nayan’s family now has only one daughter. She studies at master’s level. She is an educated person.

“We give a month to the interim government to provide a job to the sister of Nayan,” Rizvi said, adding that if the interim government is seen dilly-dallying in this regard, BNP as a political party will arrange a job for her although the party is not in power,” he said.

''We are BNP Family' convener Atiqur Rahman Rumman, its Member-secretary Maksidul Mominin Mithun, Convener of Rangpur district BNP Md Saiful Islam, its Member-secretary Anisur Rahman Laku, and local BNP leaders were present.
