A passenger bus of Alif Paribahan bus fell into the Meradia Canal in Banasree area in the capital on Saturday (30 November) evening.
On information, two units of fire service personnel rushed to the spot at 5:42 pm and were working to rescue the bus from the canal, said Rozina Akhter, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room.
However, it was not confirmed how many passengers were on the bus.
So far, there were no immediate reports of casualties.
Further information will be delivered after the bus is recovered from the canal, said police.
