Dhaka will experience a cloudy morning with light rain on Eid day, Meteorologist Abul Kalam Mallik said on Saturday (15 June).
He said the intensity of the rainfall is expected to increase in the afternoon.
Additionally, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, in most areas of the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions on Eid day.
Some parts of the Chattogram division and one or two areas in the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions may also see rain, the met office said in a weather bulletin on Saturday.
Eid this year will fall on the third day of the Bangla month of Asharh.
The ongoing heatwave is likely to continue, with a slight increase in day and night temperatures across the country. Due to the high moisture content, discomfort may persist, the weather bulletin added.
