Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind at places over all eight divisions of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country," said the weather bulletin issued here this morning.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 37.5 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat of Rangpur district while today's minimum temperature 25.0 degrees Celsius was recorded jointly in Sylhet and Rangamati.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded 42 mm in Rangamati.
