Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman today said Kyrgyzstan, a Muslim-dominated country in central Asia, has expressed its keenness to take skilled manpower from Bangladesh.

Besides this, Kyrgyzstan also wants to strengthen economic relations with Bangladesh.

Salman made the remarks after meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyzstan Republic Avazbek Atakhanov at Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Bhaban in the city, said a press release.

Salman said there is an opportunity to increase cooperation between the two countries in various sectors, including ready-made garments, agriculture and information technology.

"There are many opportunities to increase economic relations between the two countries. Around 1000 medical students are studying in the country. The country expects more students from Bangladesh," he added.

During the briefing, Avazbek Atakhanov lauded for the ongoing socio-economic development of Bangladesh and has expressed interest to take workers from Bangladesh for his country's production oriented industries.
