Bangladesh Police have finalised a new official logo, replacing the existing insignia with a design steeped in national symbolism.

The updated emblem features the country’s national flower, the water lily, alongside sheaves of rice and wheat, and a jute leaf.

The development was disclosed in a letter issued on Thursday (10 April) by Nasima Begum, additional deputy inspector general (Logistics) at Police Headquarters.

According to the letter, the decision to adopt a new monogram forms part of an approved rebranding initiative. The design has already received official sanction and now awaits the issuance of a government notification.

Following the publication of the notification, the new logo will become mandatory for use across all police districts and units. Preparations are underway to implement the logo across uniforms, flags, signage, and all relevant materials associated with the force.

Sources indicate that the unified adoption of the new emblem across the entire police force will begin imminently.
