Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over different parts of the country.
"Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi division and the districts of Dinajpur, Jashore and Chuadanga and it may continue," said a BMD bulletin issued this morning commencing 9am.
Rain/thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 39.0 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi district in Rajshahi division and minimum temperature today was recorded 21.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
The sun sets today at 06.25pm and rises at 05.27am tomorrow in the capital.
