Rain likely in parts of Bangladesh but heatwave lingers

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain and thunderstorms in parts of the country, while a mild heatwave continues to sweep through several districts.

According to a bulletin from the department, rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds are likely in one or two places across Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

Elsewhere, the weather is expected to remain dry with a partly cloudy sky.

A mild heatwave is prevailing over Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Nilphamari, Jashore, Dhaka, Faridpur, and Rangamati, with conditions likely to persist.

Daytime temperatures may rise slightly, while nighttime temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged.
