Shah Kamal, former senior secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, has been arrested on Saturday (17 August) night.
A team of Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested the former secretary from city’s Mohakhali area, said DMP Media Division Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Obaidur Rahman.
On 16 August, police raided Shah Kamal's residence on Babar Road in the capital’s Mohammadpur area. Later, they seized Tk3.11crore, including foreign currency.
