Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday asked children of the country to take preparations from now on for conquering the moon.
"We will go to the moon one day. So, you have to take preparation to achieve that from now on," she said.
The prime minister made the remarks while opening "Bangabandhu Corner" at Gimadanga Tungipara Government Model Primary School here.
At the same function, she also unveiled the cover of an album titled "Eso Bangabandhuke Jani" (Let's know Bangabandhu) drawn by specially needed children at the school which was established in 1912.
The PM asked the students to study attentively as they can one day become prime minister, ministers, scientists and noted personalities of the country.
"Study attentively to become great human beings. We will build Smart Bangladesh. You will be really smart. You will run the state one day. You will be prime minister, minister and scientist and going to great places and doing research," she said.
The premier said her prayer and blessing will be upon the children as they will attain successes in their endeavor.
Hasina, elder daughter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said her father wanted to give the children a beautiful life.
About the album of pictures on the country's history drawn by children with special needs, she said it will help them know the country's history.
She said her father never liked any luxury for his life, rather he chose to work to give the people an improved and better life.
"He (Bangabandhu) had only one target and that is to free the people from poverty and give them an improved life," she said.
