ACC sues Rajuk director, his wife for amassing illegal assets

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed two separate cases against Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) Director (Development and Control-II) Mubarak Hossain and his wife Sahana Parveen, accusing them of acquiring assets worth around Tk2 crore beyond their known sources of income.

Asif Al Mahmud, Assistant Director of the Dhaka Integrated District Office of ACC, filed the cases on Wednesday (3 July), said ACC Public Relations Officer Akhtarul Islam.

The ACC said in the case statement that Mubarak Hossain committed a punishable offence by acquiring assets worth Tk41.46 lakh inconsistent with his known sources of income as per his submitted wealth statement.

In a separate case, it is alleged that Sahana Parveen acquired assets worth Tk1.58 crore beyond known sources of income through mutual cooperation with Mubarak Hossain.
