ACC launches inquiry against former minister Abdur Rahman among 4 MPs over corruption

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to investigate corruption allegations against Abdur Rahman, a Presidium Member of the Awami League and former Minister of Fisheries and Livestock, along with three former Members of Parliament.

The allegations against them include money laundering, irregularities in various projects, and accumulating a vast amount of illegal assets both domestically and internationally.

This decision was made during the Commission's meeting on Wednesday (28 August).

Besides the former minister, the other MPs under investigation are Solaiman Haque Joarder (Selun), former MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency, Dr. Iqbalur Rahim, former MP of Dinajpur-4 constituency, and Saifuzzaman Shikhor, former MP of Magura-1 constituency.
