Hajj flights from Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia are set to commence on 29 April, as visa processing for pilgrims will be completed within the next few days, announced Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain at a press conference at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

"This year, we have completed all formalities for 5,200 registered Hajj pilgrims under the government scheme, including allotment of tents in Mina and Arafah, agreements with catering service companies, home or hotel authorities, and transport companies," he said.

He assured that the visa process is currently underway and will be completed shortly.

Additionally, 81,900 pilgrims have registered to perform Hajj through private agencies this year. Due to the Saudi government's requirement for a minimum number of pilgrims per agency, these individuals, registered under 753 agencies, will travel under 70 lead agencies.
