A total of 11,640 pilgrims have returned to the country after performing the holy Hajj this year, according to the latest bulletin from the Hajj portal.

So far, 44 Bangladeshi pilgrims have died during the pilgrimage, including 35 men and nine women.

The return flights for Hajj pilgrims began on 20 June with the first flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with 417 pilgrims. The return flights are scheduled to continue until 22 July.

This year, a total of 85,225 Bangladeshi pilgrims traveled to Saudi Arabia for Hajj.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has allocated a quota of 127,198 pilgrims for Bangladesh for the next year (2025).
