A fatal road accident in Jhikargacha, Jashore, has left three people dead, including a woman and a child, after an ambulance collided with an engine-run van. Another individual sustained injuries in the crash.
The accident occurred at around 6am on Wednesday (19 March) in Nabibnagar on the Jashore-Benapole highway, confirmed Jhikargacha Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge, Babul Rahman Khan.
According to the police, the ambulance was en route from Jashore to Benapole when it collided with a passenger-laden van coming from the opposite direction.
The impact of the crash was fatal, leading to the instant deaths of three individuals.
Their identities are yet to be ascertained.
