Members of Tabligh Jamaat assembled in front of the chief adviser's residence, the State Guesthouse Jamuna, to seek a meeting with Dr Yunus regarding the confirmation of the first phase of the Ijtema and the participation of Maulana Saad.
The gathering commenced at 8:30am on Tuesday (19 November) in front of Kakrail Mosque and on the road adjacent to the chief justice’s residence.
Subsequently, at 9:30am, a nine-member delegation of Tabligh Jamaat was invited into Jamuna by the Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.
Md Sayem, the Media Communication Officer for the Saad faction of Tabligh Jamaat, said that members of the group had been present from 8:30am on the road outside Kakrail Mosque and near the chief justice’s residence, demanding a meeting to ensure the participation of Maulana Saad in the first phase of the Ijtema and other related issues.
Later, upon an invitation from the chief adviser’s press secretary, a nine-member delegation of theirs entered Jamuna for discussions.
