The onset of winter has begun to make itself felt across various regions of the country, with light to moderate fog settling over riverine areas; the capital, Dhaka, is also experiencing a light chill accompanied by fog.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has reported that there is no likelihood of rainfall anywhere in the country on Thursday (7 November).
However, overall weather conditions are expected to remain mainly dry, with temporarily partly cloudy skies in some areas.
According to a BMD forecast, both daytime and night-time temperatures across the country may rise slightly.
Furthermore, light to moderate fog is expected in certain river basin areas across the country during the early morning hours.
BMD has also indicated that the intensity of the cold is likely to gradually increase in the coming days.
While skies across the country may remain partly cloudy temporarily, overall conditions will remain primarily dry. Night and daytime temperatures are anticipated to stay nearly unchanged.
Light to moderate fog is expected in some river basin areas of the country in the early morning hours on Friday (8 November).
In addition, the weather office has noted that minor changes in weather conditions may occur over the next five days.
