The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast a rise in temperature across Dhaka and its adjacent regions on Monday (24 March), potentially increasing the discomfort of the heat.
Despite a partly cloudy sky, the weather is expected to remain predominantly dry, with no chances of rain.
According to the morning weather bulletin issued at 7am on Monday (March 24), the capital and its surroundings will experience temporary partly cloudy conditions, but the overall climate will stay dry.
The day’s temperature is likely to rise slightly compared to previous records. Winds from the west or northwest may blow at speeds of 8-12 km/h.
At 6am, Dhaka recorded a temperature of 22.0°C, with a humidity level of 70%. Yesterday, the maximum temperature in Dhaka reached 32.0°C.
Meanwhile, the BMD’s countrywide forecast indicated a slight increase in temperatures across the nation today.
Some areas in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisions may experience temporary gusty winds accompanied by thunderstorms and rain, whereas the rest of the country will remain dry with partly cloudy skies.
