Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has stated that Sheikh Hasina’s potential return, the long-standing Teesta water-sharing dispute, and a host of related bilateral matters were discussed during a meeting between Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bangkok.

In a video message delivered on Friday (4 April), following the meeting, the press secretary said Yunus had engaged in detailed discussions with Modi on issues of mutual interest concerning Bangladesh and India.

Among the topics reportedly discussed was the possible bringing back of Hasina, various remarks attributed to her in recent times, as well as recurring concerns such as border killings and the unresolved Teesta River water allocation.

Chief Adviser Yunus is said to have raised these matters directly with the Indian Premier in an attempt to address key friction points in bilateral ties.
