With the departure of winter’s final month, the air is imbued with the gentle breeze of early spring, and daytime temperatures are steadily climbing.

The shifting climate patterns have once again disrupted the conventional character of the seasons.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall across five divisions, including Dhaka, in the coming days.

According to the latest update by the BMD on Thursday (20 February), isolated showers or thunderstorms may occur in one or two locations within Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions over the next 24 hours.

Elsewhere across the country, skies are expected to remain partly cloudy, with predominantly dry conditions prevailing.

However, light to moderate fog may form across Bangladesh from late night until early morning, while both daytime and nighttime temperatures are likely to remain unchanged.

The forecast further indicates that on Friday (21 February), Sylhet division may experience isolated rainfall or thunderstorms, while the rest of the country is expected to see partly cloudy skies and dry weather, accompanied by light to moderate fog during the early hours. Similarly, temperatures are projected to remain stable across the country.

On Saturday (22 February), sporadic rainfall or thunderstorms are anticipated in parts of Rajshahi and Khulna divisions. Elsewhere, conditions will mirror previous days, with partly cloudy skies, dry weather, and early morning fog.

The meteorological office has stated that no significant changes in weather conditions are expected over the next five days.
