In a call for unity to drive forward Bangladesh's nation-building efforts, Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus urged all citizens to set aside divisions and work together for the country’s interests, cautioning that missing this opportunity would result in considerable setbacks for the nation.

“Despite recent challenges, your unwavering commitment has demonstrated true professionalism, which I firmly believe will be maintained in the future as well," he said speaking at a ceremony in Dhaka Cantonment marking the formation of the Navy and Air Force electoral boards on Sunday (27 October).

Commending the Armed Forces for their commendable performance despite numerous challenges, Dr Yunus encouraged the continuation of this exemplary conduct.

He expressed confidence that, as always, the Navy and Air Force would stand with the people of Bangladesh with their usual skill and dedication.

Dr Yunus reiterated his appeal for national unity, urging everyone to overlook differences for the country's benefit.

He emphasised that the board members formed this year must fulfil their responsibilities diligently to ensure that, as in the past, the people continue to receive effective support and leadership in the days ahead.
