“It has come to the notice of the Supreme Court that some judicial officials are using social media during the working hours and making adverse comments about their employing and controlling authorities, which goes against the job discipline and rule and is tantamount to misconduct,” the notification said.

The apex court in its new directives asked the judicial officials to strictly follow the circulars issued on 22 September 2019, and 16 April 2023. They have been asked not to post or share any status or comment those goes against the job discipline.

“Violation of these directives would be deemed as misconduct and different laws concerned, rules and guidelines including Bangladesh Judicial Service (Discipline) Rules 2017, would be applicable in this regard,” it added.
