A delegation of protesting public university teachers, demanding the cancellation of the Universal Pension Scheme (Pratyay), has met with Awami League General Secretary and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader.
Multiple sources from the party confirmed that the meeting began at 11am on Saturday (13 July) at the political office of the Awami League President in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
Also present at the meeting were Awami League Joint General Secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif and AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Office Secretary Biplab Barua, Deputy Minister for Education and Human Resources Shamsunnahar Chapa, and Prime Minister's Advisor on Education and Culture Dr. Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury.
This meeting was initially scheduled for 4 July but was postponed citing Quder's tight schedule.
