The residents of Sylhet Division are experiencing a blackout on Saturday night as the Ashuganj power station grid failed.
The power supply has remained shut since 8pm on Saturday.
Jarjisur Rahman Roni, an assistant engineer of Sylhet Power Development Board, said as there was a failure on the 132 KV line of Sylhet division in Ashuganj grid, the electricity supply has remained off in the Sylhet division.
However, it will be fixed soon, he assured.
The Kumargaon grid in Sylhet has already been operated. The rest will also be run gradually, he said.
