Professor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, known as CR Abrar, is set to be sworn in as a new adviser, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said on Tuesday (4 March).
He will be sworn in as the aducation adviser at the Bangabhaban at 11am on Wednesday, said the press secretary while briefing the media at the Foreign Service Academy.
Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud currently holds the position of Education Adviser.
Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Deputy Press Secretaries Apurba Jahangir and Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, and Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi were also present.
He was a faculty member in the Department of International Relations at the University of Dhaka.
Dr. C. R. Abrar studied at the University of Dhaka, the University of Sussex, and Griffith University in Australia. His articles have been featured in volumes published by Westview Press, Blackwell, Earthscan, and Macmillan India.
