Sunny skies to rise temperature in Dhaka: BMD

Dhaka and its surrounding areas are expected to experience a slight rise in daytime temperatures, with clear skies prevailing throughout the day, according to the Meteorological Department

Dhaka and its adjacent regions are set to witness a slight increase in temperature on Sunday (26 January), with clear skies ensuring bright sunshine from the morning.

According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the sky over Dhaka and nearby areas will remain clear for six hours from 7am, with dry weather prevailing.

Winds from the north or northwest may blow at speeds of 5-10 kilometres per hour, accompanied by a mild rise in daytime temperature.

At 6am, Dhaka recorded a temperature of 14.2°C, while the lowest temperature stood at 14°C.

The weather forecast issued on Saturday night indicated that the country's overall weather would remain dry over the next 24 hours, with partly cloudy skies in some areas.

Light to moderate fog may form across the country from midnight to morning.

Meanwhile, a mild cold wave is sweeping across Dinajpur and Panchagarh, which could persist and extend to other areas.

Additionally, nighttime temperatures in parts of the southern region may drop by 1 to 2°C, while daytime temperatures across the country are expected to remain largely unchanged.
