Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted a decline in temperatures by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius across the country from Saturday (25 January) night.
In its 72-hour weather forecast released on Friday (24 January), the department stated that the weather is expected to remain dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies over the next three days.
Additionally, moderate to dense fog may form in some areas from midnight to morning in the next 24 hours, persisting until noon in certain regions.
The dense fog could temporarily disrupt air travel, inland river transport, and road communication.
Regarding synoptic conditions, the extended part of the subcontinental high-pressure system is currently situated over Bihar and adjoining areas, while the seasonal low-pressure system remains over the southern Bay of Bengal, with its extension reaching the northern Bay of Bengal.
On Sunday (26 January), both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to drop further across the country.
