A low-pressure zone has developed over the southern Bay of Bengal, potentially influencing weather patterns across the country, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
"The country's weather is expected to remain dry with partially cloudy skies," the BMD said in its latest weather forecast update on Sunday (8 December).
BMD further elaborated that the extension of the low-pressure zone spans up to the northeastern Bay of Bengal, while the subcontinental high-pressure ridge is positioned over Bihar and adjacent areas.
The forecast indicates that dry weather will persist nationwide, with temporarily cloudy skies in some regions. Light to moderate fog may occur in some areas from late night until early morning. Night and day temperatures are predicted to decrease slightly.
Weather is anticipated to remain dry, with partially cloudy skies prevailing across the country in the upcoming day as well.
Moderate to dense fog may form in northern regions during late night and early morning hours, while other parts of the country could experience light to moderate fog.
Nighttime temperatures are expected to increase marginally, whereas daytime temperatures are likely to remain steady.
