The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers across all divisions, including Dhaka, within the next 24 hours from 9:00 am on Saturday.
According to the Met office bulletin, rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally winds are likely to occur in one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
Day temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged, while night temperatures may see a slight drop.
The weather pattern is influenced by a trough of low pressure over West Bengal and an associated seasonal low over the South Bay.
