Political parties has announced to stand united on the issues concerning the country’s independence, sovereignty, existence and dignity, said Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul.
The announcement came from a meeting between Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and political parties at the Foreign Service Academy on Wednesday.
“The political parties have differences in terms of political ideology, but they all spoke about unity on the question of the country”, he told journalists.
Most of the country’s registered political parties, associated with student-people mass uprising, including Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, participated the meeting.
In the meeting, the political parties agreed to work together in the country's crisis period.
Asif Nazrul said thay will remain firm against any kind of propaganda and provocation by New Delhi.
He uttered warning that India's interference in Bangladesh's internal affairs will not be tolerated at all.
The unity of political parties and common people will remain unwavering in future, he added.
