The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today lodged a case against former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed and four others, accusing them of fraudulently acquiring passports.

The case was registered at the ACC's integrated district office in Dhaka on Monday (14 October).

ACC's actions follow the issuance of an asset declaration notice in July against Benazir Ahmed and his family, further intensifying the scrutiny around the former police chief.
