A total of 250 cadet sub-inspectors (SIs) undergoing training at the Police Academy in Sardah, Rajshahi, have been dismissed for disciplinary violations, as confirmed by police headquarters on Tuesday (22 October).

It has been reported that the training programme for 823 cadet SIs commenced on 11 November 2023.

Of these, 250 individuals have been relieved from their duties. The training was originally scheduled to conclude on 4 November.

To secure a position as a sub-inspector in the police force, candidates must pass a series of physical, written, and oral examinations, including tests on computer proficiency.

After clearing these stages, candidates undergo a medical examination. Those who are selected through this rigorous process are designated as 'outside cadets' and undergo a year-long basic training programme at Sardah.
