The overall pass rate stood at 77.78% across nine general education boards, as well as the madrasa and technical education boards as the results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations have been announced.

Specifically, the pass rate for the nine general education boards stands at 75.56%.

The results were officially released at 11am on Tuesday (15 October) simultaneously through respective educational institutions and online platforms.

Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, presented the summary of the results to the press.

According to the declared figures, the average pass rate across the nine general, madrasa, and technical boards combined is 77.78%. This represents a slight decrease compared to last year's pass rate of 78.64% across the 11 boards.

A total of 1,45,911 students got GPA-5 in 11 education boards this year. Last year 92,595 got GPA-5.

The HSC and equivalent examinations commenced on 30 June, with 14,50,790 students participating.

However, following eight days of exams, all examinations scheduled for 18 July were postponed due to the quota reform movement. The government subsequently suspended the exams three times.

There were 61 remaining subjects to be examined, but due to the involvement of various disciplines, including science, humanities, and commerce, these exams were ultimately cancelled after pressure from student protests.
