At least 10 people, including two women and a child, were killed when two microbuses collided head-on with a bus in Chattogram’s Lohagara.
Three others sustained injuries in the crash, which occurred at Chunati Jangalya on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway at around 7:15am on Wednesday (2 April).
Lohagara Fire Service team leader Rakhal Chandra Rudra said rescue teams arrived at the scene upon receiving reports of the accident and recovered the bodies of seven victims.
The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.
Identities of the deceased were not immediately confirmed. Their bodies have been handed over to Dohazari Highway Police Station.
