Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted a decrease in night-time temperatures by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius across the country, while daytime temperatures may witness a slight dip.

According to the 24-hour weather forecast issued on Monday (3 February), the skies across Bangladesh are expected to remain partly cloudy, though the overall weather will predominantly stay dry.

The forecast also warns of moderate to dense fog forming in various parts of the country from midnight to morning. This may lead to disruptions in air travel, inland river transport, and road communications.

In its synoptic analysis, the BMD noted that an extension of the subcontinental high-pressure zone is currently positioned over Bihar and adjoining areas, while the season’s normal low-pressure system persists over the southern Bay of Bengal.
