Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has reported that the seasonal low-pressure system is currently situated over the southern Bay of Bengal, with an extension reaching the northern Bay.
This atmospheric condition could lead to light or drizzling rain in a few places in Rangpur Division by Monday (13 January) until 6pm.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country may experience dry weather with temporarily partly cloudy skies.
The department's bulletin highlighted that daytime temperatures might slightly drop across the country, while night temperatures are expected to rise marginally.
Temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged, but nighttime temperatures could decrease slightly.
However, a further slight drop in daytime temperatures is anticipated in the coming days.
Furthermore, light to moderate fog may form in some areas across the country from late night until early morning over the next few days.
The extended five-day forecast suggests that temperatures could decrease further.
