Rezanur previously served as the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) before his posting in the Power Division

Md. Rezanur Rahman,  additional secretary of the Power Division, has been appointed as the chairman of the state-owned Bangladesh Oil, Gas, and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla).

Although he officially joined on Thursday (2 January) evening, he began his official duties on Sunday (5 January).

A 17th-batch officer of the BCS (Administration) cadre, Rezanur previously served as the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) before his posting in the Power Division.

Rezanur Rahman has held various positions within the Government of Bangladesh, including roles in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as a Director of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), and as the Director General of the ACC.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and a professional master's degree from ITC, the Netherlands.
