Light rains or drizzle will likely occur over the country's northern parts in the next five days, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said in a briefing, effective from 9am this morning (4 January).
It also said a mild cold wave is sweeping over Panchagarh and may continue.
The Met office briefing also said the weather might remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, with moderate to dense fog likely to occur over the country from midnight to morning, which may continue at places till noon.
Besides, air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may be disrupted temporarily due to dense fog.
Night temperature may rise slightly, and day temperature may rise by (1-2)°C over the country.
Meanwhile, night and day temperatures may fall till Thursday (9 January).
