The CSE50 Index has undergone a review and revision based on the performance of companies listed on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).
The updated index will come into effect on September 12, 2024. The CSE50 Index is reviewed semi-annually, said a press release.
The newly added companies include KHAN BROTHERS PP WOVEN BAG INDUSTRIES LTD., SHAHJALAL ISLAMI BANK PLC., and SONALI PAPER & BOARD MILLS LIMITED. Conversely, ADVANCED CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES LTD., BBS CABLES PLC., and SAIF POWERTEC LIMITED have been removed from the index.

Key statistics for the CSE50 Index include:
- 58.42% of the full market capitalisation as of June 30, 2024, of all stocks listed on the CSE
- 62.92% of the free-float market capitalisation as of June 30, 2024, of all stocks listed on the CSE
- 38.80% average daily turnover over the past six months ending June 30, 2024, of all stocks listed on the CSE
