The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has called for a protest at Dhaka University (DU) this afternoon, demanding a trial against Sheikh Hasina, accusing her of various attacks on students and the public during the anti-discrimination student movement.
Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the movement, issued the call via a Facebook post on Monday (12 August).
He said, 'Demonstrations will be held at the Raju Sculpture in Dhaka University to demand a ban on student politics on campus and a trial against the murderer Hasina.
Additionally, Abdullah announced in another Facebook post that the government will cover the medical expenses for those injured during the public uprising and admitted to government hospitals. For those receiving treatment in private hospitals, the Health Ministry will collect data as quickly as possible and cover their medical expenses as well.
The call to action and the promises of medical support underscore the movement's ongoing commitment to addressing grievances and seeking justice.
