Light to moderate rain with gusty wind along with thundershowers are likely to pass through all parts of the country, said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
“Gusty winds with a speed of 45-60 km per hour along with thundershowers may blow from the west or north-west over the Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,” the BMD said in its latest weather forecast bulletin on Sunday (2 June).
River ports in those areas have been instructed to hoist caution signal no 1 till 1pm.
Meanwhile, another notification from the BMD said that the southwest monsoon winds have advanced to Dhaka, Barisal, Chattogram, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions.
