Thundershowers with gusty winds with a speed of 45-60 km per hour are likely to pass through the Mymensingh and Sylhet regions, said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

“Storms with a maximum speed of 60 km per hour along with thundershowers are likely to blow over Mymensingh and Sylhet regions from 1pm,” the BMD said in its latest weather forecast bulletin on Thursday (30 May).

The river ports in these areas have been asked to hoist warning signal no 1.

There may be rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at two places in Dhaka and Chattogram divisions.

Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with a partly cloudy sky.

Day temperature will drop slightly across the country.

But the night temperature may remain almost unchanged.
