Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin has been handed an additional portfolio for taking charge as the adviser for the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
A notification to this effect was issued by the Cabinet Division today.
Currently, Sheikh Bashir Uddin has been serving as the adviser for the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. With this new responsibility, he will now oversee the aviation and tourism sector alongside his existing portfolios.
The aviation and tourism ministry was previously under the supervision of Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus following the demise of Adviser A. F. Hassan Ariff in December last.
