Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has emphasised the need for a peaceful nation where people can move freely without fear.

“We want peace in the country so that people can walk their path without anxiety,” he said on Monday (31 March) during an Eid gathering at his Tejgaon office.

While exchanging greetings with people from various professions, Yunus reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a fear-free society and called for mutual tolerance among citizens. The event was attended by politicians, government officials, and dignitaries from home and abroad.

Earlier in the morning, at 8:30am, Yunus offered Eid prayers at the National Eidgah.

In a post-prayer address, he extended Eid greetings to all, including women and migrant workers, and conveyed a message of national unity.

Among those present at the prayer gathering were Supreme Court justices, members of the advisory council, politicians, and individuals from different walks of life.
