Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has briefed Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on the army’s measures to ensure nationwide security during Eid-ul-Fitr.

During a meeting at the state guesthouse Jamuna on Sunday (30 March), the army chief detailed security preparations, including maintaining safety at launch terminals, train stations, and bus terminals, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and facilitating dialogue between industrial owners and workers to maintain stability in industrial zones.

Additionally, the chief adviser was informed about iftar and prayer gatherings arranged at all cantonments to honour those injured in the July uprising, as well as financial assistance for wounded and fallen soldiers’ families.

General Waker-Uz-Zaman also extended Eid greetings in advance to the chief adviser, who, in turn, praised the professionalism of the army and provided strategic guidance for future operations.

He expressed confidence that the army would continue safeguarding national sovereignty and security with dedication and professionalism.
