Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Friday (28 March) urged Chinese business leaders to actively participate in Bangladesh’s economic transformation, calling the country a prime production hub with access to global markets.
“Set up your factories in Bangladesh and sell your products to the whole world,” Yunus told Chinese investors at the "Investment Dialogue" in Beijing.
He emphasised Bangladesh’s young, energetic, and creative workforce as a key advantage.
During his visit, Yunus met Yao Wang, Vice-Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), to discuss mutual trade interests, according to Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad.
Yunus also held talks with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng at a state guest house in Beijing.
He exchanged views with CEOs, industry experts, and young entrepreneurs from both Bangladesh and China.
