CA, UN chief take iftar with 100,000 Rohingyas in Ukhiya

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres took Iftar with about one lakh Rohingyas at Ukhiya refugee camp in Cox's Bazar on Friday.

The iftar gathering was organised at the initiative of the chief adviser.

Earlier, the chartered flight carrying Professor Yunus and Guterres landed at Cox’s Bazar Airport at 12:48pm on Friday.

As part of the visit, the Chief Adviser inaugurated a project at Cox’s Bazar Airport and inspected the Khurushkul Climate Refugee Centre.

Later, Dr Muhammad Yunus and António Guterres participated in the iftar with nearly 100,000 Rohingya refugees in Ukhiya.
